Incoloy

Incoloy is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys that are commonly used in high-temperature applications such as heat exchangers, chemical processing equipment, and nuclear reactors. These alloys exhibit excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion, making them ideal for use in harsh environments.

Here are some common Incoloy products and their corresponding grades:

  • Incoloy 800/800H/800HT: These alloys are made up of nickel, chromium, and iron, with a small amount of copper, titanium, and aluminum. Incoloy 800 is the standard alloy, while Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800HT have higher carbon and titanium content, respectively, making them suitable for high-temperature applications. These alloys are commonly used in heat exchangers, petrochemical processing equipment, and gas turbines.
  • Incoloy 825: This alloy is composed of nickel, chromium, iron, and molybdenum, with small amounts of copper, titanium, and aluminum. Incoloy 825 exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion and is commonly used in chemical processing equipment, pollution control equipment, and oil and gas well piping.
  • Incoloy 925: This alloy is made up of nickel, chromium, and iron, with small amounts of copper, titanium, and aluminum. Incoloy 925 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy with high strength and corrosion resistance. It is commonly used in downhole tubing and casing for oil and gas wells.
  • Incoloy A-286: This alloy is composed of nickel, chromium, and iron, with small amounts of titanium, aluminum, and vanadium. Incoloy A-286 exhibits excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance and is commonly used in jet engine components, industrial gas turbines, and exhaust systems.

Overall, the specific grade of Incoloy product that is chosen depends on the specific application requirements, such as temperature, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties.
