Tantalum is a highly corrosion-resistant transition metal that conforms to R05200, R05400, R05255, R05240, R05252 ETC. Tantalum is a rare, hard, blue-gray, lustrous metal.
Metal that is ductile is tantalum. With the exception of hydrofluoric acid, tantalum possesses exceptional corrosion resistance. Only tungsten and rhenium have melting points higher than that of tantalum. Tantalum has a melting point of roughly 3017 degrees Celsius. Capacitors, vacuum furnaces, machinery for chemical reactions, nuclear reactors, and components for aeroplanes are among tantalum's primary applications.
